Trio

Greetings all!

As Schoolhouse Rock says: “Three is a magic number. Yes it is. It’s a magic number.” To keep with the magic, I have a trio of updates for you today.

First. My Novella Project, formerly known as Plato’s Book, has an official title now: The Book. I am three-five scenes from The End, and the finish line is in sight. As I get closer to finishing, I feel like there may be more stories to tell in this place, so, if it turns into a series, I may call the series Plato’s Book just for funsies.

Second. The Book will be my first illustrated book. I will be doing my own cover, and maybe five to eight illustrations for the inside. To that end, I’ve been practicing with watercolor and ink line drawing to draw more realistic animals. Here is my first try at Kaito the Great Pacific Octopus.

The illustrations will have to be black and white/greyscale due to the cost of printing in color, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.

Third. I will have a table at this year’s Sacramento Book Festival on April 19 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Sacramento. This year there will be even more awesome authors of all sorts, and Full Air Conditioning!! I can’t promise to have The Book ready for it, but I’m working toward that goal every day. Hope to see you there if you’re in the Sacramento area.
